Itinerary (5N / 6D)

Day 1: Arrival in Leh Airport

Your journey to Ladakh, a unique region that stretches from the glacier to the prominent Great Himalayas, commences with your landing at Leh Airport.

Leh serves as the largest town and capital of Ladakh. A representative from Golden Eagle Expedition will greet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel for check-in.

Today is designated for you to get comfortable and recuperate before we begin discovering the breathtaking scenery and routes.

In the evening, our representative will gather with you at the hotel to update you on the journey.

Day 2: Leh Local Sightseeing towards Sham Valley

Today’s sightseeing tour will cover approximately 90 km.

After a relaxing breakfast, we will begin by visiting Magnetic Hill, Pathar Sahib Gurudwara, and the Hall of Fame, a museum dedicated to the brave Indian soldiers.

Our journey continues to Sangam Point, the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers.

In the evening, we will explore the Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace before returning for our overnight stay in Leh.

Day 3: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung-La Pass

Distance and duration of travel (130km / 5-6 hours)

Traversing the legendary Khardung La Pass (17,982 feet).

Diskit Monastery features a 33-meter statue of Maitreya Buddha overlooking the Shayok River.

Nubra Valley is the perfect destination for adventure activities, where you can try ATV biking, zip-lining, rafting, go-karting, and riding double-humped camels.

Day 4: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shayok Route

We will travel to Pangong Lake through the Shayok Route (eastern Ladakh), adjacent to the China border.

Duration and distance of travel (approximately 7-8 hours / 180 km).

By evening, you will arrive at the lake and be amazed to find such a stunning body of water nestled among the mountains.

Pangong Tso (high grassland lake) is a saline lake located at high altitude, with 70% of its expanse in China and 30% in India.

Pangong Lake elevation 4,225 meters.

Day 5: Pangong Lake to Leh via Changla Pass

Distance and duration of travel (180 km / 6-7 hours)

Today we will return to Leh; early in the morning, you'll have the chance to capture a stunning sunrise time lapse at Pangong Lake.

During your journey, you will navigate across Chang La, which is situated at a height of 5360m.

You will explore Thiksey Monastery, constructed in 1430 AD, and Rancho’s school.

Day 6: Departure to Home
