Day 1: Arrival + Local Sightseeing
Upon arrival at Srinagar, the representative of Kiran World Tours will warmly welcome you to the beautiful lake city of Kashmir. After check-in to your traditional houseboat, begin your sightseeing tour of Srinagar. Visit the famous Mughal Gardens including Nishat Bagh (Garden of Pleasure), Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love), and Chashme Shahi Garden, known for their stunning beauty and historical significance. You will also visit the sacred Shankaracharya Temple, located on a hilltop offering panoramic views of Srinagar city and Dal Lake.
In the evening, enjoy a peaceful Shikara ride on the famous Dal Lake, surrounded by breathtaking mountains and floating gardens. Later, return to your houseboat and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay.
Nishat Bagh: Known as the “Garden of Pleasure,” Nishat Bagh is the second-largest Mughal Garden in Kashmir, situated on the eastern banks of Dal Lake. Built in 1633 AD by Asaf Khan, the brother of Mughal Empress Noor Jahan, the garden is famous for its beautiful terraced lawns, fountains, and scenic views.
Shalimar Bagh: Shalimar Bagh is the largest and most famous Mughal Garden in Srinagar. Built by Mughal Emperor Jahangir in 1619 for his beloved wife Noor Jahan, the garden is also known as the “Garden of Delight.” Its beautifully designed terraces, flowing water channels, and historic Chini Khanas make it a major attraction.
Chashme Shahi: The smallest yet one of the most charming Mughal Gardens in Srinagar, Chashme Shahi is renowned for its natural spring water believed to have medicinal properties. This beautiful garden was built by Emperor Shah Jahan for his son Dara Shikoh.
